Rocking the Country: The Westlands – Where Heartfelt Lyrics Meet Electric Vibes
The Westlands are a 5 piece country rock band from the West Midlands, UK.
Song Writers Steve Nunn & Emma Norman started the band originally as a country duo but their love for rock lead them down the route of putting together a band consisting of Steve Nunn as Guitarist and Vocals, Emma on Bass and Vocals, Gareth on lead guitar, Jordan on guitar and Rhys on Drums.
2022 was the first year for the band and with a few gigs under their belts they very quickly picked up radio play from the likes of BBC.
2023 was where things started to kicked off for The Westlands:
- January name BBC Introducing Band Of The Month
- Radio play across the whole globe
- Radio station interviews from the UK to Australia
- Played the BBC stage at Godiva Festival
- First Arena Show at The British Country Music Festival (The Winter Gardens)
- Finalists at the UK Country Music Awards
As well as these amazing achievements the band also had many awesome support slot shows as well as a few headliner nights throughout the UK and they hope to step things up going into 2024.
The Drew Young Band has been active for nearly two decades. Drew Young has traveled the world, turning his experiences into songs about longing, love, loss, and learning. He has collaborated with top writers globally and continues to write, tour, and record. During the 2020 lockdown, Drew reinvented himself, spending a year writing and recording music while deciding to quit alcohol, inspiring the album “Bourbon and Bad Decisions.” This change boosted his creativity, resulting in 60 songs recorded in Nashville, leading to over 2 million streams. Drew has been increasing live performances across the U.S. and internationally, including festivals in the UK and Sweden. His music is known for its honesty, originality, and insight.
