Music Spoken Here presents… Zeñel

Zeñel return to Worcester to kick off our Autumn season with a “Replay” series, featuring five select bands that played in the first year of Music Spoken Here at The Marr’s Bar. Zeñel made their first appearance in June 2023 and have since released their third album “Tilde”.

The band are London based trumpeter and producer Laurence Wilkins, Portuguese native Zoe Pascal on drums, and keyboard virtuosos Jay Verma and Alex Wilsonsporting a seemingly infinite array of patches. They utilise a unique approach to midi and computer-based sound design to deliver a poetic combination of Jazz improvisation crossed with the world of electronic music, drawing from sounds seldom heard in live band contexts, inspired by cultural heritage of electronic music from the UK and globally.
