Underground Ocean is one band that hopes for a big future in rock. Their sound has been described as ‘Manics merged with Foo fighters’ and they are known for creating a huge impact and atmosphere with their driving wall of sound.

undergroundoceanwebThe band is from Worcester and formed in early 2014. They are a 4 piece consisting of members Stuart McDonnell, Matt Beddoes, Lee Evans and George Parker. Influences include Foo Fighters, Police, Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics, Fleetwood Mac and many more.

All members have performed across the UK in different bands, however, Lee has toured extensively around the USA and Europe supporting bands such as L.A. Guns (Both), Ratt, Twisted Sister, Poison, Vince Neil, Bang Tango, Skid Row, Faster Pussycat and Dirty Penny. He performed at the Rocklahoma festival, in Oklahoma, the USA on the main stage in 2007, when he was just 18.

Underground Ocean are currently working hard rehearsing and writing after releasing their debut single “Get Me Out”, recorded at Magic Garden studios with Gavin Monaghan in October 2014.

The single was released on the 1st December and is available on iTunes and most other major Platforms. The band are working with Pluggin’ Baby and re-releasing ‘Get Me Out’ on 9th June 2015 due to popular demand.

The band also supported their debut release with a video, filmed at the Wharf in Stourport-on-Severn, which is available on YouTube. The next single ‘I See through You’ was released on the 7th of September 2015 produced and edited by film company ‘Riser’. The Band is working towards a 5 track E.P which is currently scheduled for release early November 2015 and aim to finish their Debut album early February 2016.

The band has performed at different venues across England, selling out hometown gigs from the beginning, first being a 250 capacity venue. They have plans to tour the UK and Europe in the near future and are booked to perform at various festivals and venues during 2015.

All four members have studied music, three of which currently work as music teachers around the Worcestershire area. Their aim is to create music they love and hopefully reach an audience that enjoy it as much as they do!

The Rooz fly with the unconventional. With their mix of melodic rock songs and all out energetic rock n roll, the band have had an unprecedented rise over the past year culminating in a spectacular performance at the Royal Albert Hall and leading them to main support slots with the likes of Lawson, Boyzone and many more! Loud guitars, mixed with the addition of the piano/keyboards makes for a refreshing and experimental brand of alternative rock.
