Back in March 2006, when last orders moved to 4am, The Task In Hand launched an alternative late-night club at The Marrs Bar.
That was 20 years ago.
On 28 March, we’re throwing a one-off celebration with some of the original TIH DJs joined by DJ Ed Steelefox, our favourite bands, and a dancefloor shaped by the indie-electro bangers of the mid-2000s.
It might not quite go on till 4am – but it will be worth staying out for.
Our first act to be revealed for the evening is – with their first appearance in quite some time – local legends and The Task In Hand mainstays, The Cape Of Good Hope!
The genre-blending quartet will dust themselves off after we’ve finally unleashed them from their shackles in The Marr’s Bars cellar, bringing their eclectic mix of tech-surf-pop-dub-punk to the party.
The next act to be announced is one man math rock maverick, Theo. Sam is probably the act we’ve put on most over the years – and if you ever attended one of our Worcester Music Festival shows, you most likely witnessed his looping, undulating, musical sound scapes. Twiddly guitars, rocked out riffs, and soul pounding drums. It’s great to welcome them back to The Marr’s Bar for the first time in a while!
