Surprise Attacks, The Task in Hand and Uncover present:
Desert Boots:
This incredible up beat five piece from Worcester offer up some nu-funk energy to get you moving and shaking! With influences in Northern Soul, jazz, funk, soul & electronica, Desert Boots are an unstoppable funk force to be reckoned with – get your dancing boots on!
Skewwhiff:
Skewwhiff are a four piece, female fronted band of post pop punk misfits from Worcester.
Genre is always a poser when faced with such variety of sound, so the fact that Skewwhiff have not been out of place supporting bass legend Mike Watt’s brand of jazz/punk and Brit-pop pioneers Dodgy, demonstrates the difficulty in pinning a pithy label to this bunch of misfits.
Echo Gecco:
Take Gong, David Bowie, The White Stripes, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Oh Sees, Yes, Rush and King Gizzard and The Lizard, put them in a blender, flick the switch et voila, you have Echo Gecco. The band write music where alternative rock and jazz undertones collude to deliver an infectious rhythm-driven sound delivered by drummer Jon Aymes and Kecach Hoang to support the soaring vocals of guitarist Josh Hunt. This is the pulse that connects the artist with the audience and the musicians to each other.
Flam & Flange and special guests:
Stu and Luke from the F&F podcast will be compering the event and treating us to an hour of beautiful electronica to kick off the night with their very talented friends.
The Task in Hand and Death Disco DJs will be playing in between and after bands to get you moving to the early hours….
All proceeds from the event will go to Legacy of War Foundation supporting the projects of NGO Molotok in Transcarpathia, Ukraine. These projects support and shelter young people and families that had to flee their homes in Ukraine.
The Legacy of War foundations exists to promote peace and support people who have lived through war to rebuild their lives.
