GBH – Hardcore Punk Rock Legends Since ’78, Still Loud, Fast, and Relentless
Formed in Birmingham in the late 70’s, GBH became punk rock pioneers and leaders in what would later be known as the ‘UK82’ punk movement. Alongside other bands, such as Discharge and The Exploited, GBH were at the forefront of the move to a faster, more in your face, hardcore Punk Rock sound, and have not stopped performing ever since. They have also managed to hold onto their core line up (Colin – vocals, Jock – guitar and Ross – bass) with added ‘new boy’ Scott Preece joining on drums in 1994. The band have released many influential records over the years and can still pack out a room in the UK and abroad as well as being regular visitors to North America, Australia and across Europe.
Worcester stalwarts The Samples deliver old school melodic punk rock to get you on your feet. Originally active between 1978-1986, the band’s highlight was the anthemic Dead Hero EP, released in 1982. Reforming in 2021, the band have since become a regular on the punk circuit including shows at Rebellion Festival and London’s 100 Club.
Hardcore Punk from the West Midlands. Ever outspoken but with a tendency not to take themselves seriously, with a true anti-fascist, anti-capitalist and pro equality message which can be heard through their lyrics and live shows.
